Subtly elegant in its contemporary landscape of polished woods and raw silks, the Chinese restaurant pays tribute both to a sweeping view, and its own privileged spot at the top of the tallest building in southern Taiwan. As a result all tables are oriented towards the double height windows, and furniture of different heights has been chosen so as not to obstruct sight lines. In an innovative take on the private room concept, the team has enveloped large circular tables with curtains of rich bronze beads, allowing visual access to the scenery along with a sense of discretion.
Other features serve an ambience of sumptuous modernity, from the contemporary chandeliers and lamps in antique bronze and opal glass, to the timber herringbone patterned flooring, hand tufted carpet and velvet upholstery. By day the white jade palette is crisp and luminous, while by night it plays with the light to extend what has become the area’s most striking dining experience.
